The Tata Safari’s line-up was recently rejigged, resulting in the number of trims on offer being reduced to 6. Tata has consolidated some of the previously offered mid-spec variants into a single trim and added an ‘X’ suffix to denote the difference; such as Pure X and Adventure X. Interestingly, for the introductory period, the entry-level Safari Smart’s price remains unchanged at Rs 15.50 lakh, while the top-spec Fearless X + Stealth Edition costs Rs 27.444 lakh. Let’s see which Safari variant gets which features, safety kit and gearbox options, and at what price.

While there are a total of 8 exterior colour options available with the 2025 Safari, the lower Smart and Pure X variants get just 4: Stellar Frost, Stardust Ash, Lunar Slate and Galactic Silver. The Safari Adventure X + gets an additional Supernova Copper exterior option, while the top-spec Accomplished X variants get a Cosmic Gold option as well. As before, the Safari Dark Edition is available from the lower-spec trim onwards, while the Stealth Edition is exclusive to the top-spec Accomplished X + variants. However, it should be noted that the 6-seat version does not have the Stealth Black option when in manual form.
Like with the Harrier, the Safari’s interior also differs from variant to variant. The Smart and Pure X variants have dual-tone grey and black interiors, while the Adventure X variants have brown leatherette seat and door upholstery that Tata calls ‘Adventure Oak’. Meanwhile, top-spec Accomplished variants have white leatherette upholstery and brown highlights on the dash and doors. As their names imply, the Dark and Stealth versions get all-black interior themes.
