Navnit Motors is set to start selling Maserati cars in Mumbai soon. Our sources suggest that it will take over Maserati's Western India dealership operations from the Group Planet Petal (often referred to as Petal Group). The Navnit Group is an authorised car dealer that operates in Mumbai and Thane.

  1. Maserati set to be Navnit Motors’ next luxury brand after Ferrari, BMW, Mini and JLR
  2. Petal Group expected to continue as dealer partner of Hyundai, Jeep and Nissan

Notably, Maserati’s North and South India operations will continue to be operated by AMP Supercars Pvt. Ltd and VST Group, respectively.

While the location of Navnit Motors’ upcoming Maserati dealership is yet to be revealed, the Petal Maserati dealership is located inside the Taj Santacruz Hotel in Mumbai. That said, the automotive dealership division of Group Planet Petal is expected to continue as a dealer partner for car brands such as Hyundai, Jeep and Nissan, as well as two-wheeler brands including Harley Davidson, Hero, Yamaha Blue Square and River.

Notably, Navnit Motors is a dealer partner for not only luxury brands such as Ferrari, BMW, Mini and Jaguar Land Rover (JLR), but also mass-market manufacturers including Hyundai, Kia, Honda and Maruti Suzuki. This Mumbai-based car dealership network is headquartered in Andheri.

Maserati currently sells models like the Grecale (ICE and EV), GranTurismo (ICE and EV), GranCabrio (ICE and EV) and MCPura in India, which are currently priced from Rs 1.31 crore to Rs 5.12 crore. However, these prices are set to be reduced in a phased manner when the India-EU free trade agreement (FTA) comes into force.

Poll of the month

What do you think about the push for ethanol blends even higher than E20 petrol?

Good move; it cuts dependence on crude oil imports
I support it as it’s a greener solution than pure petrol
I’ll accept it only if it’s cheaper than E20 petrol
I am concerned about damage to my vehicle
Not good; fuel efficiency will drop even further
