I am currently driving a 2022 honda city zx cvt. Have driven around 35k so far. Feel an ich to upgrade and have narrowed down to Q3, Kodiaq and Tayron. Since all three share same underneath - engine, gearbox and infotainment (for later two). Which one would be a sensible shift considering Q3 face-lift is around the corner and it felt the only car missing bare minimum which others are offering like ventilated seats, bigger infotainment, etc? I am inclined towards Q3 manly for its size and the ON road cost being competitvr of the three. Pros and cons of owning this vehicles from owners is welcome.

I want to buy a Volkswagen Tayron R-Line. But confusing with Innovia Hycross Hybrid ZX O.

Pick the Innova HyCross Hybrid ZX(O). If you have family on board often and spend lots of time in city traffic, the hybrid car will cut your fuel bills noticeably, and the automatic transmission feels calm and smooth. It is also simply easier for parents and kids - more space, a comfier second row with captain seats, and a softer ride on bad roads. Keep it 6-8 years, and Toyota’s resale and hassle-free upkeep matter. The Tayron R-Line only makes more sense if you’re mostly four or five, you drive yourself, and you value a sharper, more fun feel on highways. It will feel livelier and more premium from the driver’s seat, but you’ll stop for fuel more, and you give up the HyCross’s people-carrying ease. One catch with the HyCross: it does not feel as exciting to drive as the Tayron, and the engine can sound a bit busy when you floor it.

I want to buy a pre-owned car with a budget of Rs. 45 lakh. My current options are a BMW 520d Luxury Line with around 50,000km on the odometer, a BMW X1 18d, and a Mercedes-Benz C200, both with around 30,000km driven. I belong to a joint family and currently own two Skoda Laura 1.9 TDI models (one PD automatic and the other DI manual). The new car will mainly serve as a family car and will also be used for highway trips at least twice a month. I am looking for an executive diesel sedan or a cheaper version of the Kodiaq and Tayron

Go for the BMW 520d Luxury Line with 50,000 km; for your joint-family highway runs, it gives the roomiest rear seat, best long-distance comfort, and relaxed diesel torque. It will feel like a fitting upgrade to your Laura TDIs, and sadly there are no more diesel executive sedans available now, so it's something worth getting while you still can. While the Kodiaq and Tayron are capable in their own right, they can't quite replicate the same solidity of a previous-generation 5-series and given its intended use as a long-distance family car, the fuel bills of these large petrol SUVs will be astronomical. Of the other used cars, the X1 is simply too small and the Mercedes-Benz car simply won't feel as premium or roomy as the 5 Series; notably in the rear seat. 50,000km is not a huge amount for a used car, provided it has been well taken care of, and the 5-series' boot is large and well shaped too.

Hi, My current car is a Skoda Superb L&K, which has done around 18,400 km. I really like the Volkswagen Tayron R-Line. Is it worth upgrading to the Tayron, or should I continue with the Superb, considering it is already a fantastic car?

With a 2023 Skoda Superb L&K that has only 18,400 km on it, I would not switch unless you clearly need what the Volkswagen Tayron R-Line gives you: a higher seat, easier entry, and better clearance for rough roads or steep speed breakers. For your mix of city and highway use in a near-new car, keeping the Superb makes more sense right now.Three reasons. First, the Superb has a roomier back seat, so family trips are easier. Second, at this mileage, your car is almost new, so changing now will mean a big hit on resale, plus fresh tax and insurance for gains that may be small in daily use. Third, the move from a long, low car to a taller one changes the feel: you sit higher and see more, but the Superb's suspension is soft and plush while the Volkswagen car is a bit more sporty in the way it rides, especially on big wheels as the R-Line gets.Overall, unless you have a clear need for the higher seat and rough-road ease, holding on to your Superb a bit longer is the smarter move.
