Tata Punch price in Srinagar

₹6.48 - ₹12.40 Lakh
On road price in
EMI starting at ₹9,332 /month

On-road in Srinagar, the base model Smart Petrol MT starts at 6.48 lakh and the top model Accomplished + S CNG AMT reaches 12.40 lakh. The Accomplished Petrol MT sits between the two at 9.54 lakh.

If you are financing the car, a loan of 5,80,000 on the base model Smart Petrol MT means an EMI of 9,332 a month. Stepping up to the top model Accomplished + S CNG AMT raises that to 18,020 on a loan of 11,20,000.

Why prices change from the base model to the top model:

  • Three fuel options are offered here, and the fuel you choose moves the price before equipment is counted.

  • The base model Smart Petrol MT is a petrol manual, while the top model Accomplished + S CNG AMT is a CNG with the automated manual.

  • The 120hp turbo-petrol sits above the 88hp petrol and comes only with a 6-speed manual.

  • The 10.25-inch touchscreen, the sunroof and the 360-degree camera arrive higher up the range.

  • Six airbags and the 5-star Bharat NCAP rating apply across the range, so safety is not one of the things the extra money buys.

Registration, road tax and insurance are added to the ex-showroom figure, and how much they add depends on the state you buy in. That is why the same variant costs more in one city than another.

Tata Punch FAQs

Yes, especially if your running is high. The CNG version offers significantly lower running costs than the petrol model while retaining much of the Punch's practicality. The availability of an AMT gearbox also makes it more convenient for city driving.

The lower and mid-spec variants offer strong value, thanks to the Punch's safety, ride quality and practicality. However, the fully loaded versions are priced close to larger compact SUVs, so buyers should compare them carefully before deciding.

I already have a Maruti Baleno and want to buy a second car. I have shortlisted the Tata Tiago Pure Plus and the Tata Punch Pure Plus. Which one should I buy for mostly daily commuting in Delhi city?

Go for the Punch Pure Plus. Since you already have a Maruti Baleno, the Tata Punch makes more sense as a second car dedicated to daily city commuting in Delhi. It is compact, but has a higher seating position than the Tiago, which helps when manoeuvring in tight spaces and parking. It is also easier to get in and out of, and the cabin will feel roomier. The Tiago will be more fuel-efficient and less expensive, but overall the Punch is the more rounded vehicle between the two.

The AMT version, while convenient in traffic, can feel slightly laggy during gear shifts, something that most users notice in stop-and-go conditions. What exactly does this mean for the Tata Punch iCNG AMT version?

Verified
1w

What this means in the context of the Tata Punch iCNG AMT is that the gearbox is not as smooth or as quick as a conventional automatic. In stop-and-go traffic, when you lift off the accelerator and then get back on it, there is a noticeable pause as the gearbox decides to shift and then actually changes gear. This can make the car feel a bit hesitant or jerky, especially at low speeds. The iCNG version adds another layer to this because the engine is already slightly down on power compared to the petrol, so the pauses feel a bit more pronounced. It is not a deal-breaker, but it is something you will notice in daily city driving. The trade-off is that you get the convenience of an automatic and the cost savings of CNG, but you have to accept that the driving experience is not as seamless as a torque converter or CVT automatic.

Hi everyone! I have a strict budget of Rs. 9 lakh and I'm looking for an automatic car with good safety. So far, I've shortlisted the Hyundai Exter, Tata Punch, Renault Kiger, and Nissan Magnite. Which one would you recommend and why? I'd really appreciate your suggestions, especially if you own or have driven any of these cars. Thanks!

The Hyundai Exter AMT would be the best choice for your requirements. It is the most refined car here, has a smooth four cylinder petrol engine, is easy to drive in city traffic and comes with a comfortable ride. Hyundai's extensive service network and hassle free ownership experience are added advantages, especially if this is going to be your long term family car.The Tata Punch AMT is the next best option if safety is your absolute top priority. It feels more robust, has higher ground clearance and is better suited to rough roads, although the AMT isn't as smooth as the Exter's and Tata's service experience can vary from city to city.

I'm confused between Tata Punch 1.2 Adventure AMT and Maruti Suzuki Brezza VXI Turbo. Both are priced almost the same. My usage will mostly be weekend city driving, with the occasional 100+ km highway trip. The Punch offers more features for the price, while the Brezza has the advantage of Maruti Suzuki's proven reliability, lower maintenance costs, and excellent after-sales service. Considering my usage and priorities, which one would you recommend?

Go for the Maruti Suzuki Brezza VXI Turbo. Your usage is mostly weekend city driving with occasional highway trips, and in that scenario, the Brezza is the more sensible long-term choice. The 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine is punchy enough for city use and overtakes on the highway, while Maruti’s service network, lower maintenance costs and proven reliability make ownership far easier over the years. The Brezza also feels like a more substantial car, with better space and a more mature ride, which you will appreciate on longer drives. The Tata Punch 1.2 Adventure AMT does offer more features for the price, but the engine-AMT gearbox combination is slow, which won't feel as effortless to drive as the Brezza Turbo in hilly regions around Guwahati. Yes, with the Brezza Turbo, you only get a manual transmission, but unless having a clutch-free experience is an absolute must-have, get the Brezza.

Hi, I'm a first-time car buyer with a budget of ₹9–11 lakh. My driving will be approximately 70% in the city and 30% on highways. I'm very confused about choosing between the Tata Punch Accomplished and the Hyundai Venue HX5. Which one would be the better choice, especially for long-term ownership?
