Tata Nexon

Tata Nexon price in South Tripura

₹8.26 - ₹16.42 Lakh
On road price in
EMI starting at ₹11,906 /month

For the Nexon, the real decision buyers face is not just trim but powertrain: Tata sells the Nexon in petrol, CNG and diesel forms, and depending on which one you pick, there are four distinct gearbox layouts on offer. Once that choice is settled, the on-road math in South Tripura becomes straightforward, though it still layers RTO registration, insurance and other statutory charges over the ex-showroom figure, and this markup shifts from city to city. In South Tripura, the Petrol Smart MT, the base variant, is priced at Rs. 7.40 lakh ex-showroom, which becomes Rs. 8.26 lakh on-road once these charges are factored in.

  • Base variant, Petrol Smart MT: Rs. 8.26 lakh on-road in South Tripura
  • Diesel Fearless + PS Red #Dark AMT, the top variant and top model in the range, with a panoramic sunroof, JBL sound system, blind spot monitor and cornering headlights: Rs. 16.42 lakh on-road
  •  Automatic gearbox trims cost more than the equivalent manual; the Smart AMT, for instance, carries roughly Rs. 1.67 lakh premium over the base model's manual gearbox
  • Autocar's value pick: the Creative petrol trim, which brings adaptive cruise control, climate control and blind spot monitoring without stepping up to the range-topping Fearless trim

An EMI of Rs. 11,906 against a loan of Rs. 7,40,000 is what the base model, Petrol Smart MT, translates to on paper, and that number is a sensible baseline before weighing whether a costlier trim's extra kit justifies the jump. Given that pricing already spans petrol, CNG and diesel across manual and automatic gearboxes, it pays to lock in the powertrain and feature list first, then let that decision steer which trim actually makes sense in South Tripura.

I own a Tata Nexon AMT 2024 Pure S variant. My mother and I are the ones who drive the car. I like to take it on the highways and hills; my mother uses it for short distances: 80 city, 20 highways But the jerky shifts annoy me, and the visibility annoys my mother; lack of a 360 camera and seat height adjustment further adds to the stress for her Will the Amaze CVT VX variant be a good choice? For both of us, or which compact SUV with automatic transmission is a good choice with visibility and efficiency as well for city drives

The Honda Amaze CVT VX is a very sensible upgrade from the Nexon AMT. The CVT gearbox is far smoother than the AMT, which will make both city driving and hill climbs much more pleasant. The Amaze also offers excellent visibility, a comfortable driving position and a reliable ownership experience. However, it is a sedan, so you will lose the higher seating position and ground clearance of an SUV, which can be useful on highways and rough roads.Given your usage, a compact SUV with a proper automatic gearbox is a better fit. The Maruti Suzuki Brezza automatic is a strong recommendation here. It uses a 6-speed torque converter automatic, which is much smoother than the Nexon AMT, and it offers excellent visibility, a comfortable driving position and low running costs. But it is on the pricier side.Overall, the Amaze CVT is a good alternative if you are happy to move to a sedan, but if budget permits, the Brezza is the more versatile choice.

Hello Autocar, I am using a 4-year-old Tata Nexon AMT, and I suffered a gear oil leakage issue during the third year and an engine oil leakage issue in the fourth year. Due to the engine oil leakage, the engine had to be opened for repairs, and the car remained in the workshop for two months. Since the engine has been opened, I am wondering whether I should replace the car because of these issues. However, the car is running fine now, although I do feel there is a loss of power and mileage. I would like to know whether I should change the car now or wait a few months to understand the roadmap for ethanol blending. Also, my annual running is only around 5,000 km. Would a naturally aspirated engine be a better choice than a turbocharged engine, considering the car would remain idle for long periods? I am thinking of switching to the Maruti Suzuki Brezza TC. However, I like the Kia Sonet's interiors, but I am concerned about its turbo engine and DCT. That said, the Sonet seems like a fun-to-drive car on the highways. My usage will be around 70% city and 30% highway. Please advise.

Given your low annual running of 5,000km and the fact that the car will be idle for long periods, a naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with a torque converter automatic is the most sensible choice. The Maruti Suzuki Brezza fits this brief perfectly. It is a simple, reliable and low-maintenance package with a proven engine and gearbox combination that will serve you well over a long ownership period. The Sonet turbo petrol DCT is the more fun-to-drive option on the highway, but the DCT gearbox of this Kia car is not the ideal choice for predominantly city driving and long periods of idling. As for your current Nexon, if the car is running fine now, there is no immediate need to change it. However, given that the engine of this Tata car has already been opened and you are experiencing a perceived loss of power and mileage, it is understandable to want to move on. On the ethanol front, there is no official roadmap beyond E20 at this stage, and modern engines are engineered to handle E20 without issue. There is no need to wait for further clarity. The Brezza is the safer and more sensible long-term choice for your usage pattern.

I (55M) need a family car for long-term ownership of 10+ years. My current monthly running is 1,500-2,000km. We are a family of four with two dogs, but we will rarely travel together. My budget is Rs 10-13 lakh on-road. My priorities are low running costs and comfort. I was mostly looking at the new Brezza CNG and Nexon CNG, but I am open to diesel as well.

With a monthly running of 1,500-2,000km and a 10+ year ownership horizon, diesel might sound like a good idea, but at your budget, there aren't many options. What you will get will only be base model cars with few creature comforts. In that respect, CNG is a better VFM option as you can get mid- to high-spec variants of cars. Plus, diesel requires the added maintenance of a DPF and the cost of AdBlue top-ups, as well as more maintenance costs over time. That said, there are also compromises of CNG ownership, such as lower power and torque, and the inconvenience of refuelling. The Maruti Brezza CNG ZXi would be the best choice, as it has an efficient yet powerful enough engine, a CNG tank located under the floor, and plenty of features within your budget. The Nexon CNG would be the next best bet, offering more power and similar underfloor CNG tanks, but it is not as efficient and is more expensive, spec-for-spec.

Hi everyone, I'm planning to buy my first car and would really appreciate your suggestions. My priorities are safety (top priority), good-looking design, decent mileage and automatic transmission. I drive around 1,000 km per month and this will be my first car. I plan to keep it for at least 5 years and I am currently considering Maruti Suzuki Brezza (2026), Tata Nexon and Mahindra XUV 3XO. If you have owned or driven any of these, I would love to hear about your real-world experience regarding reliability, service and maintenance costs, automatic gearbox performance, mileage and comfort for city and highway driving. I am also curious about long-term ownership experience. Which one would you recommend, and why? Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

Out of the options you've listed, the Nexon 1.2 Turbo DCA and XUV 3XO Turbo AT deliver better value than the Brezza, as far as equipment and performance go. Out of these, the Mahindra XUV 3XO is a solid choice for its smoother, stronger engine and its seamless 6-speed torque converter (automatic). Cabin space is very good, and it drives like a more expensive car, giving you a confident experience be it in the city or out on the highway. Before going ahead, do keep in mind that the XUV's boot is a bit small, fuel efficiency might not be as good as the Brezza's, and Mahindra's service network isn't as widespread as Maruti's. However, on the whole, the XUV feels is a good option, and one that we'd recommend.

I have a 2015 Nissan Micra XV CVT, and I think it's time to replace it. I am planning to buy a new car with a strict on-road budget of Rs.13 lakh, and it must be an automatic. My monthly running is very low, around 200-300 km, and I plan to keep the car for the next 8-10 years. My priorities are reliability, affordable service costs, and hassle-free ownership. I have shortlisted the Nissan Magnite Tekna Plus Turbo CVT and the Tata Nexon Creative AMT. Which one would you recommend? Also, are there any other automatic cars in this budget that I should consider?

Verified

With a very low monthly running of 200- 300 km, a petrol car is the clear choice, and your priority should be a smooth, reliable automatic car that will serve you well for 8-10 years. Between the Nissan Magnite Tekna Plus Turbo CVT and the Tata Nexon Creative AMT, the Magnite is the better fit for your needs. The Nissan Magnite price starts at 5.65 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The CVT gearbox is far smoother and more refined than the Nexon's AMT, especially in city driving. The Magnite also offers good value for money and a decent feature set.The Nexon is a solid car, but the AMT gearbox is not as smooth as a proper automatic, and over a long ownership period, that can become tiresome in daily use. If you are open to other options, the Maruti Suzuki Brezza automatic is worth considering. This Maruti Suzuki car uses a 6-speed torque converter automatic, which is smoother and more reliable than an AMT, and Maruti's service network and low maintenance costs make it an excellent long-term ownership proposition.Overall, the Nissan car is the best fit from your shortlist, but the Brezza automatic would be our top recommendation for long-term peace of mind and affordable ownership.
