Maruti Suzuki S-Presso price in Butibori

₹4.05 - ₹6.10 Lakh
On road price in
EMI starting at ₹5,792 /month

The S-Presso price in Butibori starts at Rs 3.50 lakh for the base model, the Std (O) MT, and goes up to Rs 5.27 lakh for the top model, the VXi+ (O) AMT (ex-showroom). Meanwhile, the S-Presso on-road price in Butibori starts at Rs 4.05 lakh and goes up to Rs 6.10 lakh.

For buyers considering finance, a loan of Rs 3,60,000 for the Std (O) MT works out to an EMI of Rs 5,792 per month. The VXi+ (O) AMT requires a larger loan of Rs 5,50,000, taking the monthly EMI to Rs 8,849.

Why Prices Change From The Base Model To The Top Model?

The Maruti Suzuki S-Presso is offered in four trim levels: Std (O), LXi (O), VXi (O) and VXi+ (O), spread across eight variants. All use the same 998cc petrol engine, producing 68.5hp and 91.1Nm, but the price changes with the equipment, gearbox and fuel option.

  • Std (O): The entry-level variant gets a digital instrument cluster, fabric seats and essential safety equipment, including dual airbags, ABS with EBD and electronic stability control. It misses out on air-conditioning, power steering and an audio system.
  • LXi (O): Adds manual air-conditioning and power steering. It is also the entry point to the factory-fitted CNG option, which is paired with a five-speed manual gearbox.
  • VXi (O): Adds remote keyless entry, front power windows, central locking and a two-speaker audio system. Buyers can choose a five-speed manual, AMT automatic or factory-fitted CNG version.
  • VXi+ (O): Tops the petrol range with a 7-inch touchscreen supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, steering-mounted audio and voice controls, powered outside rear-view mirrors and a rear parcel tray. It is available with a manual or AMT gearbox.

Maruti Suzuki S-Presso FAQs

The mid-spec LXi variant offers a lot of value. It gets features like manual AC, dual airbags, reverse parking sensors, and idle start-stop. It does not get an infotainment system, which is offered only on the top-spec VXi (O) variant.

Celerio and S-Presso get compared constantly as budget first-car options, but the two feel meant for slightly different kinds of buyers once you actually sit in both. What's actually deciding it for people beyond just the price gap?

Hi I am currently using an S-Presso manual car and planning to upgrade to an automatic sub-4-metre SUV. My budget is Rs. 10-12 lakh, and my annual usage is around 6,000 km, with 60% highway and 40% city driving in Chennai. I am also planning to take solo trips twice a year. Please suggest a car that offers good mileage, low maintenance costs, and strong safety.

With your 6,000 km annual running, a petrol automatic is the right choice. Your 60% highway usage and solo trips suggest you need a car that is stable at speed, comfortable over long distances, and easy to live with in the city. The Maruti Suzuki Brezza automatic fits this brief well. It uses a 6-speed torque converter automatic, which is smooth in traffic and relaxed on the highway. The naturally aspirated petrol engine is reliable, easy to maintain, and well suited to your running. This Maruti Suzuki car also has a comfortable ride, good ground clearance and a stable highway manner, making it a significant upgrade over the S-Presso for long drives. Maruti's service network and low maintenance costs are a clear advantage too. If you want something more fun to drive, the Skoda Kylaq is worth considering. This Skoda car offers a more powerful turbo petrol engine, but the Brezza remains the safer long-term ownership bet. Overall, the Brezza automatic is the most balanced recommendation for your usage and budget.

Hi, I am currently driving a 2021 VW Taigun 1.0 MT with annual running of ~10,000 KM (60% City, 40% Highway). The car is running fine, but it becomes a pain in heavy city traffic due to constant gear shifting & turbo lag. I am confused between 3 options: (1) Get the cheapest possible city automatic like an S-presso AGS and use it with Taigun, (2) Get a proper AT like Amaze/i20 CVT or Brezza AT and upgrade Taigun after a few years, or (3) Sell Taigun and upgrade to a proper AT SUV. Please suggest.

The Maruti Suzuki S-Presso AGS, which has an AMT thought convenient, doesn’t offer a smooth driving experience because of the way AMTs work - their main weakness is that annoying pause in between gear shifts, which feels quite jerky and causes ‘head nod’, a term that is synonymous with AMTs.Upgrading to a proper AT leaves you with very few options; some of the ATs are diesels, and the only mid-size SUV petrol AT is the Tata Sierra. Your option of getting a city-centric car, keeping the Taigun for highway driving, and upgrading it later makes the most sense. The Honda Amaze, with its CVT transmission, makes the most sense as a city car. It is smooth and comfortable, taking the stress out of city driving, whilst the manual 1.0 Taigun is a solid highway car. The Taigun is due for a facelift around February–March 2026, and other new midsize SUVs, including an all-new Creta, are expected around 2027. So yes, hang on to your Volkswagen Taigun and pick up an Amaze for your city chores.

I want a small car with good fuel efficiency. My budget is ₹6 lakh. I’m considering the Alto K10 and S-Presso as I want reliability and hassle-free ownership. Which one is better, or should I consider another car?

Given your requirements and your budget of ₹6 lakh, you're right, the Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 and S-Presso are your best options. Both of these Maruti Suzuki cars use the same engine and gearboxes, and offer the same hassle-free driving experience.Of the two, the Alto K10 has the advantage of offering six airbags as standard across the range, while the S-Presso only gets two. However, the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso offers more interior space, should you travel with passengers often. You could also consider the Maruti Suzuki Celerio. You might only get a mid-range variant in your budget, but it offers more space and a more upmarket feel than the Alto and S-Presso.

Hi everyone, I am a 43-year-old working professional residing in Bokaro Steel City, Jharkhand. I am looking to buy a secondary car for my daily office commute, which is around 30km at most per day or approximately 1,000km per month. I will be driving alone around 80 percent of the time, and this car will replace my ageing Honda Unicorn motorcycle. We already have a Tata Nexon at home, and I have shortlisted the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso VXi and Alto K10 VXi. Could the experts here suggest which one would be a better choice for my requirements and explain why? Also, why does the S-Presso have such low sales numbers compared to other cars in its segment? Thanks in advance!

The Maruti Suzuki S-Presso would be the better choice for you. It's got slightly more ground clearance, which will be a boon for your daily commutes. Further, the S-Presso seats you slightly higher than the Alto K10, giving a better view of the road. The slightly elevated seating position would also feel closer to the Nexon that you are used to. Also, the S-Presso gives a greater sense of space inside though it's not much roomier than an Alto. In other ways, the S-Presso and Alto are the same, using the same engine, gearbox, and platform. While the S-Presso is a good car for the money, its gawky design hasn't won over buyers, which should explain why it doesn't sell as much as the more traditional-looking Alto.
