Tata Motors has silently introduced a panoramic sunroof-equipped Nexon on more trims, not too long after bringing the feature to the CNG model. The petrol and diesel-powered Tata Nexon now gets a panoramic sunroof on the top-spec Fearless + PS trim, while the Nexon CNG now has it in the higher-spec Creative + PS trim.

As mentioned above, Tata Motors offers the feature in the top-spec Fearless + PS trim, which is available with petrol-MT, petrol-DCT, diesel-MT, and diesel-AMT powertrain options. The variants equipped with the full-size sunroof also get an 8-speaker JBL sound system, and cost about Rs 1.3 lakh more than the next trim in the Nexon range, the Fearless DT, which misses out on both these bits of equipment.
Compared to the only other compact SUV available with a panoramic sunroof, the Mahindra XUV 3XO – which gets this feature in the top-spec AX7 and AX7 L trims (Rs 12.49 lakh-15.49 lakh), the Nexon costs about Rs 11,000-Rs 1.11 lakh more, depending on the variant. It should be noted that a standard sunroof is on offer with the Nexon Pure S trim, which is priced from Rs 10 lakh onwards.

The Nexon CNG was brought out just a month ago, and at launch, it came with a panoramic sunroof in just the top-spec Fearless + S trim. Now, the feature is Rs 1.8 lakh more approachable as it is available in the Creative + PS and Creative + PS DT trims. Tata’s compact SUV is the only model right now to offer a CNG power along with a panoramic sunroof.
