Tata launches top-end Ultra trims of the diesel-powered Harrier and Safari

The trim brings in additional feel-good features and cosmetic upgrades for the SUVs.

Tata has introduced top-of-the-line Ultra trims for the diesel-powered Harrier and Safari SUVs. Prices for the former begin from Rs 23.84 lakh, while it is Rs 24.49 lakh for the latter. Additionally, Tata has also launched Ultra Red Dark versions for the diesel versions of the SUVs. 

  1. Ultra trim gets features like a 14.53 infotainment system, digital IRVM and more.
  2. Red Dark editions get larger rims and red seat upholstery.  

Previously, only the petrol-powered Harrier and Safari offered the top Ultra trim with the suffix attached to their Fearless and Accomplished trims, respectively.

For the Harrier, the Ultra trim sits above the Fearless X+ trim, while it sits above the Accomplished X+ trim for the Safari. For both SUVs, the trim brings in additional features like a larger 14.53-inch infotainment system with a Samsung display, Dolby Atmos, a digital interior rearview mirror (IRVM) with an in-built dashcam, a white-and-brown dual-tone interior theme, app suite, on-board navigation, a memory function for the outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs), a sliding front armrest, a wash function for the front and rear parking cameras and a 65W type-C charging port.

Furthermore, the Ultra trim of both SUVs is available in a Red Dark Edition. It brings cosmetic changes like an exclusive Nitro Crimson colour for the Harrier (in diesel guise), while both SUVs also get 19-inch blacked-out alloy wheels with red brake callipers. The insides come with a ‘Carnelian Red’ theme and a red finish for the leatherette upholstered seats. Both the Harrier and Safari diesel are powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-diesel that delivers 170hp and 350Nm of torque. The oil burner is paired to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic.
