Tata Curvv EV, Nexon EV 45 now get 15-year battery warranty

The Tata Nexon EV 45 and the Curvv EV’s battery packs are now available with a 15-year/unlimited kilometres (the brand calls it ‘lifetime’) warranty pack as standard. Meant to instil more confidence in the buyers of the two EVs, the new warranty package can be availed by current owners of the Nexon EV and Curvv EV.

Only new buyers and first owners can avail the lifetime battery warranty

Previously available with an 8-year/1.6 lakh km warranty package, the battery is now covered for nearly twice as long. Naturally, a ‘lifetime’ warranty refers to the lifetime of the vehicle, specifically, a period of 15 years from the date of registration of the EV. It should be noted that only those registered as the first owner of the models will be able to avail the longer battery warranty.

Rs 50,000 worth of benefits available on exchanging an older Tata EV

The company is also offering an additional loyalty bonus for existing Tata EV owners who want to buy a new Nexon EV 45 or Curvv EV. A Rs 50,000 discount is on offer.

The Tata Curvv is on sale with 45kWh and 55kWh battery pack options, priced between Rs 17.49 lakh and Rs 22.24 lakh. Meanwhile, the Nexon EV comes with 30.2kWh and 45kWh battery options, with prices ranging between Rs 12.49 lakh and Rs 17.19 lakh.
