    Skoda ‘Clever Lease’ programme introduced

Skoda ‘Clever Lease’, a new leasing service for customers, has just been introduced in India. The 'Clever Lease' programme, which is in partnership with Orix, incorporates an array of benefits and services to provide buyers with a feasible alternative to owning a car.

    Skoda Clever Lease details

The Skoda Clever Lease programme provides multiple leasing options for a tenure of 24, 36, 48, or 60 months. The models that can be leased under this scheme include the Skoda Rapid TSI and the Skoda Superb facelift, with monthly lease rentals starting at Rs 22,580.

The cost of the Clever Lease programme includes the road tax, insurance, breakdown assistance, accidental repairs, end to end maintenance, scheduled tyre and battery changes of the vehicle, and even a replacement vehicle.

The Skoda Clever Lease programme caters to retail and corporate customers across segments, such as salaried individuals, working professionals, small and medium business enterprises, corporate entities, and public sector units/undertakings.

In the first phase, the new leasing solutions will be offered exclusively to customers in Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, and Hyderabad, before it’s rolled out nationwide in the subsequent phase, as part of Skoda’s 'India 2.0' project.

Currently, the Czech manufacturer retails the Rapid sedan, the Karoq SUV and the Superb sedan in India. The carmaker had intended to launch the new Octavia and petrol Kodiaq SUV this year too, though they now have been pushed to 2021 due to COVID-19-enforced delays. Next year, the carmaker will also launch the Kia Seltos-rivalling Vision IN mid-size SUV in the first-half, with a mid-size sedan set to follow by the year’s end.

The brand recently launched its certified pre-owned cars programme, which is present in nine locations across the country. Do note, this is not the first time Skoda has rolled out a leasing programme. Earlier in 2019, Skoda partnered up with Orix to provide leasing options on the Rapid, Octavia, Superb, and Kodiaq.
