Porsche witnessed a 64 percent year-on-year growth in 2022, with its SUVs – Macan and Cayenne – witnessing a growth of 69 percent year-on-year. Porsche sold 399 units of the Cayenne last year, making it the bestselling model for the brand. In comparison, the Macan was the brand’s bestseller in 2021, with 187 units sold, roughly 39 percent of the total sales.

At the India debut of the 718 Cayman GT4 RS, Manolito Vujicic, brand director for Porsche India said, “in the first full year of sales for the Taycan, we sold 78 units”. This is a significant number for a premium car, let alone an EV, that starts at Rs 1.53 crore (ex-showroom). The Taycan was launched in India in November 2021.

Furthermore, Porsche now has a total of eight dealerships across the country, with three new dealerships opening in 2022 alone. All the dealerships will also offer Porsche’s customisation and pre-owned programmes, called Exclusive Manufaktur and Approved, respectively.
