Next-gen Audi Q7: what do the spy shots reveal

Spy shots sent to us by Motor.es confirm that the new Q7 will look more rounded, but it appears to be a bit shorter than before. The new Q7, like the Q6 e-tron, gets a split headlamp setup. While the grille has become smaller – compared to the older SUV – and has rounded edges with triangular elements within, the airdam is now larger and houses sensors for the driver assistance systems.

The roofline tapers slightly more than the current model, and the tailgate is angled. The test mule's tail-lights are slim, and the chrome strip on the tailgate has been replaced by an LED light bar that connects the tail-lights. The Q7 is likely to get multiple packages for the exterior, and different alloy wheel and front bumper designs, depending on the variant.

The new Q7 will come with both petrol and diesel engine options internationally, with all of them getting 48V mild-hybrid (MHEV) tech. There will be some variants with a PHEV setup, too, that will have an all-EV range of 100km. The SQ7 will continue to be the top-of-the-line variant and debut a little later.

The new Q7, according to sources, will debut sometime in 2026 and continue to rival the Mercedes-Benz GLS and the BMW X7.
