The XUV300 SUV currently has a total of 16 petrol and 9 diesel variants. While the variant and powertrain line-up of the facelifted model is not known, Mahindra has announced that the current XUV300 will see a capacity ramp down that includes fewer variants on offer. XUV300 facelift: what all will be new?

Multiple spy shots of the XUV300 facelift have shown various upgrades on the SUV. It will sport a major design overhaul with all-new front and rear fascias that that look more in-line with the newer Mahindra models like the XUV700 line-up and the upcoming born-EV range. The interior will be spruced up too, with new upholstery and more features. The big update in the cabin will be inclusion of not one, but two 10.25-inch screens, one for infotainment and other for instrumentation. In fact, the interior of the upcoming XUV300 facelift has already been previewed on the refreshed XUV400 EV that went on sale last month.

There are no major changes expected in the powertrain department and the existing petrol and diesel engines are set to continue. The big news on the mechanical front, however, will be an XUV300 EV that will go on sale later this year. The XUV300 EV will sit below the XUV400 EV in terms of size and will be an even more competitive rival to the Nexon EV.

Expected more details on the launch timelines of the XUV300 facelift, and the XUV300 EV, to be revealed in the near future.
