Mahindra XUV300

In the run up to the launch of the Mahindra XUV300 facelift, dealers are looking to empty as much of their inventory of the outgoing model as possible. In lieu of this, Mahindra showrooms are offering massive discounts and benefits on 2023 and 2024 model year XUV300s. The benefits come in the form of cash discounts, an exchange bonus, corporate discounts, official accessories and extended warranty. Dealers are also said to have significant 2023 model year stock of the slow-selling XUV400 EV, which is why the enormous discounts on the model continue, and have even increased marginally.

Mahindra’s rival to the Kia Sonet and Tata Nexon gets up to Rs 1.82 lakh in discounts and benefits (up by Rs 10,000 compared to December 2023) this month, depending on the model year, variant and powertrain selected. Unsold 2023 XUV300 diesels in top-spec W8 form get the maximum benefits; even 2024 models in this form get up to Rs 1.57 lakh off. Range-topping MY23 XUV300 TGDi models and petrol W8 (O) trims get up to Rs 1.75 lakh and Rs 1.73 lakh off respectively, while their MY24 counterparts get Rs 1.5 lakh and Rs 1.48 lakh in benefits, respectively.

Meanwhile, the W6 trims have between Rs 94,000 and Rs 1.33 lakh off, depending on the powertrain selected, while the W4 and W2 variants see benefits worth Rs 51,935-73,000 and Rs 45,000, respectively. The XUV300 is currently available with a 110hp, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine, a 117hp, 1.5-litre diesel, and a 131hp, 1.2-litre direct-injection turbo-petrol unit. The former two get manual and AMT gearbox options, while the latter just has a manual; the XUV300 facelift is expected to get a torque convertor automatic option for the TGDi engine.

Mahindra XUV400 discounts in February 2024

The mammoth discounts on the XUV400 continue, and have even increased over the Rs 4.2 lakh worth of year-end benefits. Buyers of last year’s XUV400 EC with the 34.5kWh battery and 3.2kW charger, EC with the 7.2kW charger (without ESC) and the range-topping EL (39.4kWh battery, 7.2kW and without ESC) get up to Rs 4.4 lakh in benefits and discounts. The XUV400 EL trim with ESC comes with Rs 3.4 lakh in discounts this month. However, 2024 models just have exchange and corporate discounts amounting to Rs 40,000.

Just last month, Mahindra gave the XUV400 EV its most significant update – available in three trims, the 2024 XUV400 is priced between Rs 15.49 lakh-17.49 lakh, ex-showroom, India. Here’s what the updated XUV400 is like to drive.
