Maruti Suzuki has started dispatching stocks of the second-gen Ertiga to its dealers. And as confirmed by us recently, the new MPV will be sold via Maruti's Arena dealership chain and not Nexa. Prices for the second-gen Maruti Ertiga will be revealed on November 21, 2018.

We’ve got our hands on the first set of spy shots that reveal the India-spec Ertiga’s interior in production guise. Like its predecessor, the model headed to India gets beige themed interior. It shares a lot of interior bits like the front seats, steering wheel and other bits with the current-gen Maruti Dzire. Even the dashboard gets faux wood trim like the Dzire which gives it a premium look. Maruti’s SmartPlay infotainment system takes center stage. The Ertiga will be available only in an eight-seat configuration.

The India-spec car also gets climate control on the top trims, along with dedicated USB and 12V ports for the front row. The Ertiga continues to come with a roof-mounted blower for the second and third row. The new model also gets a separate 12V socket for those seated in the second row. Higher trims get steering-mounted audio controls along with push-button start as part of the equipment.

As far as engine options go, the Ertiga gets a new 105hp, 1.5-litre petrol with SHVS and a dual-battery setup, while the 1.3-litre diesel is carried over from the earlier model. Both engines are mated to a five-speed manual gearbox as standard, while the petrol model can be had with a four-speed automatic unit.

Maruti has begun accepting bookings for the new Ertiga, and, according to dealer sources, deliveries are being promised in late November.
