Honda City facelift spied again, shows new details

The test mule had a connected LED DRL setup at the front and a new design for the all-black alloy wheels. This is the first time that the rear of the vehicle was seen, revealing a bumper with a contrasting black trim and a triangular element on the sides, similar to the front bumper. However, the design of the LED tail-lights remains unchanged, and the boot lip spoiler is carried over. Inside, a new free-standing infotainment display and blue ambient lighting were visible on the dashboard.

Honda City facelift: Expected powertrain, price

Honda will likely retain the current powertrain options on the City facelift. The current model comes with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine developing 121hp and 145Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox or a CVT. Strong-hybrid versions, developing a combined 126hp, come paired with an e-CVT gearbox.

The upcoming City facelift is expected to cost slightly more than the current model, which is priced from Rs 11.99 lakh to Rs 16.07 lakh for petrol versions and Rs 19.99 lakh for the hybrid-powered car. The City facelift will continue to take on the Volkswagen Virtus, Skoda Slavia and Hyundai Verna
