    MG has hiked the prices of the ZS EV by up to Rs 61,000 for the Excite and Exclusive trims. Prices for the MG ZS EV now range between Rs 22.58 lakh and Rs 26.49 lakh (ex-showroom, India). While the Exclusive trim has been on sale since the facelift was launched in March, the Excite trim will now also be sold alongside.

    MG ZS EV: updated features

    In addition to the price hike, MG has also added a bit of kit for both trims of the ZS EV. The Excite trim is now offered with new i-Smart connected car features, 360-degree camera, hill-descent control, automatic climate control and AC vents for the rear passengers.

    The Exclusive trim gets a new dual-tone interior with a black and ivory colour scheme, and this will be sold as a separate trim. The Exclusive trim also gets new i-Smart features, a dual-pane panoramic sunroof and wireless charging.

    New i-Smart features include firmware over-the-air (FOTA) updates, Park+ native app, MapMyIndia online navigation, Discover app, and live weather updates, among others.

    MG ZS EV Excite: powertrains

    The Excite trim gets the 50.3kWh battery pack, which offers a claimed range of up to 461km (as per ICAT). The front-axle-mounted electric motor produces 176hp and 280Nm of torque. MG claims the ZS EV can sprint from 0-100kph in 8.5sec.

    MG ZS EV: rivals

    With the latest hike, the MG ZS EV is now more expensive by Rs 4.24 lakh than its closest rival, the Nexon EV Max. It will also rival the Hyundai Kona Electric facelift, which is due to be launched this year.
