The Yamaha FZ-X shares its 149cc engine platform with most Yamaha motorcycles in this segment, producing around 12.2hp. Since the engine performance is quite similar across the lineup, the main difference comes from the motorcycle’s design and overall character.
Unlike modern streetfighters with sharp and aggressive styling, the FZ-X follows a neo-retro design theme with a more classic-looking appearance. It features a round LED headlight, fork gaiters, metal brackets, and a ribbed tuck-and-roll style seat that gives the motorcycle an old-school feel. The bike also uses more metal parts than many modern motorcycles, as the fuel tank, engine shrouds, and front mudguard are largely made of metal instead of plastic body panels.
The Yamaha FZ-X is currently available in a single variant and comes with a seat height of 810 mm and a wheelbase of 1,330 mm. The motorcycle is designed to offer a comfortable upright riding posture along with easy handling for daily commuting as well as relaxed highway rides.
The Yamaha FZ X price starts at Rs. 1.24 lakh (ex-showroom). Meanwhile, the Yamaha FZ X on road price starts from Rs. 1.33 Lakh and goes up to Rs. 1.45 Lakh, depending on the city, RTO charges, insurance costs and other applicable fees. Buyers in cities such as Delhi, Gurgaon, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai and Kolkata may notice slight variations in the final on-road price.
Fzx hybrid is awesome bike. I am 6ft 2inches tall and this bike is really very comfortable with its upright sitting position and very comfortable to ride. Yamaha engines are more refined in comparison to even 180cc and 225cc bikes in the market. Starting the bike is butter smooth and I often go for fun ride during my mornings. The weight of bike and the built quality is awesome and unmatched with its competitors. It's average in local is 45-49 per km and very easy to handle.
As per ARAI, the Yamaha FZ X mileage is around 55.11 kpl. In real-world riding conditions, the motorcycle typically delivers around 55 kmpl in the city, while highway riding returns around 48 to 50 kmpl, depending on riding style, traffic conditions and throttle usage. The fuel efficiency is quite impressive for a 150cc commuter-focused motorcycle and makes it suitable for everyday use.
The Yamaha FZ X fuel tank capacity is 10 litres. With a full tank, the motorcycle can offer a riding range of around 500km to 550km before refuelling in mixed riding conditions.
