Both the Carens Clavis EV and Creta Electric share their powertrains. These include 135hp/250Nm and 171hp/250Nm front-wheel-drive motors, which source power from the respective 42kWh (SR) and 51.4kWh (LR) Li-ion NMC battery packs. That said, the Clavis EV’s ARAI-certified ranges – 404km for the SR and 490km for the LR – are 14km and 17km higher than those of the electric Creta, respectively. Interestingly, the new Kia also charges significantly faster (refer to the table below for charging speeds and times).

Kia Carens Clavis EV vs Hyundai Creta Electric: Features

Clavis boasts bigger screens; Creta gets a powered co-driver’s seat

Just like the Carens Clavis EV, the Creta Electric is based on the SUV’s ICE version. Save for a few EV design bits, such as closed-off front grilles and aero-optimised alloy wheels, the two don’t differ much in design from their combustion-engined counterparts.

The Clavis EV and Creta Electric are both well-equipped, but the new Kia aces ahead with larger digital appointments, wireless smartphone connectivity, and more seating capacity. The Creta, however, offers an electrically adjustable co-driver’s seat and an extra ADAS feature.
