The MG Hector has been around since 2019 and received its first facelift in 2023. It’s been nearly three years since then, so MG has given the Hector a second facelift as the SUV heads into its seventh year on sale. Let’s delve into the 2026 Hector facelift line-up and everything the midsize SUV offers.

2026 MG Hector price and powertrains

Hector facelift starting price reduced by Rs 2.1 lakh over the outgoing model

As part of the facelift, the MG Hector’s price now starts at Rs 11.99 lakh – a Rs 2.1 lakh reduction from the outgoing model’s base price – and extends up to Rs 18.99 lakh for the 5-seat variants. For the three-row Hector Plus, MG has yet to confirm prices for the 6-seat versions. The updated 7-seater Hector Plus is available from the Sharp Pro trim onwards, starting at Rs 17.29 lakh and climbing to Rs 19.49 lakh.

It’s worth noting that MG has disclosed prices only for the petrol variants of the 2026 Hector and Hector Plus, with diesel pricing to be revealed next year.

Petrol and diesel engines continue as is

2026 MG Hector variants and features explained

To that end, the 2026 Hector is powered by the same engine options as the previous model: a 143hp, 250Nm 1.5-litre petrol and a 170hp, 350Nm 2.0-litre diesel. The petrol mill can be had with either a 6-speed manual or a CVT automatic, while the diesel engine is offered solely with the 6-speed manual gearbox.

The 2026 Hector facelift adds two new exterior colour options to the line-up: Celadon Blue and Pearl White. Three other colours, namely Aurora Silver, Glaze Red and Starry Black, have been retained from the pre-facelift Hector. It should be noted that MG is only offering monotone colours for the 2026 Hector facelift at the moment.

Inside, the updated Hector features a new dual-tone Ice Grey colour scheme from the Smart Pro trim onwards, whereas the Hector Plus gets an Urban Tan finish.
