MG Motor has inaugurated its first ‘Select’ showroom in Thane, Maharashtra, marking the beginning of a new premium retail format for the brand. Unlike standard MG showrooms, MG Select will showcase only premium models such as the Cyberster electric sports car and the M9 electric MPV.

MG Select: what is it?
This new showroom offers a distinct look and experience, setting it apart from MG’s conventional outlets. Similar to how Maruti Suzuki operates its Nexa and Arena showrooms separately, MG Select will function in parallel with existing MG dealerships, with no overlapping products.
MG Select vehicle launches
The MG Cyberster and M9 will be on display at the showroom. The models, however, are not yet on sale.
The Thane location is the first of 14 MG Select showrooms planned to open across India by the end of September 2025. Interestingly, MG Select has launched ahead of the official availability of its models. The M9 electric MPV’s prices are yet to be announced, although it has already been reviewed by journalists. For the Cyberster, which made its India debut in March 2024, MG revealed key specifications including battery, range, and powertrain details for the country-specific model, though its official launch date is still unknown.
