Except for Suzuki, all other companies reported a month-on-month sales decline.

The second month of 2026 is now well and truly in our rearview mirror, and sales figures for each of the six heavyweights in the Indian two-wheeler market are out. Here’s how each brand performed.

Hero: 5,16,968 units

Hero MotoCorp retained its top spot in the market but did so while reporting a marginal 0.62 percent decrease from 5,20,208 units in January 2026. However, compared to its February 2025 sales of 3,57,296 units, it posted a substantial 44.69 percent increase. Hero’s overseas business also recorded good growth, with 41,248 units exported last month compared to 37,633 units in January.

Hero’s electric subsidiary, Vida, has patented the designs of the Ubex and VXZ electric bikes in India, signalling that these EVs are nearing production.

Honda: 5,13,190 units

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India wasn’t too far behind Hero, and it, too, reported a slight month-on-month decrease but a big year-on-year increase in volumes. Sales dipped 1.23 percent from 5,19,579 units in January 2026, while they surged 33.67 percent from February 2025’s 3,83,918 units. Exports were a whisker lower at 54,161 units compared to 54,832 units in January.

It has been a year now since Honda entered the Indian electric two-wheeler market, and it has been a tepid one for its two products: the QC1 and the Activa e:.

TVS: 3,65,471 units

Sales of TVS Motor Company, too, slipped compared to January 2026’s 3,83,262 units, declining 4.64 percent, while increasing 32.38 percent from 2,76,072 units in February last year. TVS’s exports also grew, with the company shipping 1,42,391 units in February 2026 compared to 1,22,343 units in January. It bears mentioning that TVS, currently the Indian electric two-wheeler market leader, doesn’t bundle the sales of its electric scooters – the bestselling iQube, Orbiter and X – into the above numbers.

Recently, TVS became the world’s third-largest two-wheeler manufacturer, overtaking Yamaha in the process.

Bajaj Auto: 1,86,164 units

Continuing the trend of month-on-month sales decline is the fourth-placed Bajaj Auto, which reported a 13.30 percent fall compared to January 2026’s 2,14,727 units. However, compared to 1,46,138 units in February 2025, Bajaj posted a noticeable 27.39 percent increase. India’s largest two-wheeler exporter shipped 1,93,757 units overseas last month, an increase from 1,91,568 units in January. It is worth mentioning that Bajaj bundles the sales of its Chetak electric scooter portfolio, as well as the sub-400cc KTM and Triumph models it manufactures and distributes in India, into the above figures.

Bajaj recently refreshed the Classic Pulsar 125 and 150 before these bikes get a full generation change later this year.

Suzuki: 1,01,071 units

Suzuki bucked the trend of month-on-month decline, reporting a 7.75 percent increase over its January 2026 sales of 1,00,296 units. It also recorded a handsome 37.60 percent growth compared to its February 2025 figure of 73,455 units. Suzuki’s international sales were slightly down last month at 22,228 units compared to 25,490 units in January.

Suzuki recently entered the electric two-wheeler market in India with its new e-Access, which has gotten off to a rather slow start.

Royal Enfield: 91,248 units

Just like every other company on this list, barring Suzuki, Royal Enfield reported a small decline on a monthly basis, with sales down 2.70 percent compared to January 2026’s 93,781 units. Much like the other brands, RE also saw a year-on-year increase – a noticeable 12.93 percent compared to 80,799 units recorded in February last year. Exports, at 9,657 units, were also slightly lower compared to January’s 10,541 units.

Royal Enfield will soon enter the electric two-wheeler market in India with its Flying Flea electric bikes: the roadster-styled C6 and the scrambler-esque S6.
