Go for the Tata Curvv EV. With 1,000 km a month and a fixed 60% highway route, the economics of an electric car start to make sense, especially with home charging. This Tata car is a well-rounded package with a comfortable ride, good highway stability and enough range to handle your daily routine without range anxiety. The Kia Seltos diesel HTX is a strong alternative with a more premium cabin and a proven ownership experience, but at Rs 17.5 lakh it is not significantly cheaper than the Curvv EV, and you will be paying more in fuel and maintenance over time. The only caveat with the Curvv EV is that Tata's long-term reliability track record is not as strong as Kia's, but overall it is the better fit for your usage pattern and ownership priorities.

The MG ZS EV has been around since 2021, and it has barely been updated since. As of today, there are far more modern, better equipped, and more efficient electric cars available in the market. So even though the pricing is attractive, we'd advise you to consider a newer car instead. For Rs. 18.5 lakh on-road, you can consider the Kia Syros EV, Vinfast VF6, Tata Curvv EV, or even the MG Windsor.

Rs 16.5 lakh for a 2024 Tata Curvv EV Empowered+ A 55 with 45,000km on the clock isn't very tempting, and you should definitely negotiate further. The car has covered a fair distance in a short time, so the price should reflect that. The Empowered+ A 55 is a well-equipped variant, and you are not missing out on anything major compared to the Series X - it gets some cosmetic tweaks and minor feature updates, but the core mechanical package remains the same.The back seat of this Tata car has been a point of discussion, mainly due to the sloping roofline, which affected headroom for taller passengers. If you do not have tall passengers regularly sitting at the back, it is not a deal-breaker. The seat itself is comfortable enough for long journeys, but the headroom limitation is something to be aware of. In terms of known issues, the Tata Curvv EV has not thrown up any widespread reliability concerns so far. Before buying used, check the battery health report, ensure the car has been serviced at authorised Tata workshops, inspect the tyres and brakes for wear, and look for any signs of accident damage or paintwork inconsistencies. The Tata Sierra EV is expected to launch within the next month and is likely to share its battery pack and powertrain with the Harrier EV. That means you could get very similar performance and range in a different package, giving you one more strong option to evaluate before making your purchase.Between the two cars you've shortlisted, the Harrier EV is undoubtedly the more premium product. It offers a more spacious cabin, better ride comfort and a more upmarket feel. However, whether it is worth spending an additional Rs 6 lakh over the Curvv EV 55 Accomplished X depends on how much you value the extra space and premium experience. From a pure value-for-money perspective, the Curvv EV makes a strong case.

Pick the Tata Nexon EV. It will feel closest to your Altroz while giving you more range cushion and more room for four. With 100 km daily, that larger battery and stronger AC performance mean less charging stress and easier weekend runs, and the Nexon’s wider rear seat and bigger boot make family life comfier. The Nexon's larger footprint also translates to greater confidence, especially at higher speeds.The Punch EV is a great value and very easy to drive in traffic. If your use is almost all city and parking is tight, the Punch EV can be considered as an option. However, for an Altroz owner used to that solid, grown-up feel, the Nexon EV will feel more familiar.About an Altroz EV, there’s nothing on sale or officially announced for the near term. Tata showed a concept years ago, but the current focus is Punch EV, Curvv EV, Harrier EV and Sierra. If you want an EV now, do not wait.
