My shortlist includes the Mahindra XUV 3XO turbo-petrol, the Skoda Kushaq 1.0 AT and the Hyundai Creta IVT. I skipped the Kia Seltos because of its size. The car should also feel stable on the highway during long drives. I prefer a petrol car with a manual transmission, ideally with a naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine. A turbo-petrol is also fine if it offers a good power-to-weight and torque-to-weight ratio. Features such as alloy wheels, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, leather seat covers and ventilated seats would be good to have, but aren't essential.
