Skoda Rapid 1.0 TSI price, variants explained

Skoda has introduced the 2020 Rapid 1.0 TSI – which comes with a 110hp/175Nm 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine and 6-speed manual – at quite a competitive price. Available in five variants, the entry-level Rapid Rider is priced at Rs 7.49 lakh while the top-spec Monte Carlo costs Rs 11.79 lakh. This means that starting prices for the Skoda Rapid 1.0 TSI even undercut the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, which was previously the most affordable midsize sedan. However, this might also make it seem like Skoda has introduced a cut-price product, but a look at the 2020 Rapid’s features list says otherwise.

Here’s a list of the most important features and safety kit available with the BS6 Rapid:

At this price point, the Rapid 1.0 TSI undercuts all its rivals. Meanwhile, the higher-spec versions seem to be at par with equivalent variants of its competition in terms of price, if not features.
