Hyundai has revealed some of the feature highlights for the upcoming new-gen Venue compact SUV. The new Venue is set to launch in India on November 4, with production underway at the company’s Talegaon plant in Maharashtra.

  1. New Hyundai Venue to get 12.3-inch dual-screen layout
  2. OTA updates and Level 2 ADAS will also be part of the package
  3. Hyundai claims increased body rigidity for the new Venue

New Hyundai Venue features

Dual-screen setup with bigger displays than those of the Creta.

A prominent addition to the new Venue is a curved dual-screen setup comprising a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display – larger than the 10.25-inch screens in the Creta. This is a sizeable upgrade over the current Venue, which gets an 8-inch central infotainment touchscreen and a part-digital driver’s display. The new Venue’s display setup, likely carried over from the Kia Syros, will also receive over-the-air (OTA) updates.

Safety gets a big boost.

The new Venue will have Level 2 ADAS, bringing the compact SUV further in line with the Creta, Verna and Alcazar. ADAS is available in the current Venue but in Level 1 guise. The upgrade to Level 2 ADAS should enable additional features like adaptive cruise control, safe exit warning, rear cross-traffic collision avoidance, blind-spot collision avoidance, and more.

Hyundai also claims a “super strong body structure” for the new Venue, possibly indicating usage of higher-strength steel and reinforced chassis members. The carmaker could also validate these claims by having the new Venue tested by Bharat NCAP. So far, only one Hyundai model – the Tucson – has undergone Bharat NCAP testing, and it received a 5-star score.
