Maruti has silently launched a limited-run version of its Swift hatchback in India with prices starting at Rs 5.45 lakh for the petrol variant and Rs 6.40 lakh for the diesel variant (prices ex-showroom, Delhi). The Limited Edition slots between the LXi and VXi, in terms of price.

While the Limited Edition is mechanically the same as other variants, the new model gets decals that run across its bonnet, sides and the roof on the outside. Inside, the car has new seat and steering wheel covers as well as a new touchscreen infotainment system, which is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The advertisement for the new Swift also claims that the car sports speakers equipped with extra bass and new carpet floor mats.

With the all-new third-generation Swift scheduled to launch soon after the upcoming Auto Expo in February 2018, Maruti will look to clear existing stock of the outgoing model. The Swift Limited Edition is the marque’s bid to help do exactly that.
