Lexus LM 350h updated with new convenience, safety features in India

The Lexus LM MPV has been updated with a few convenience and safety features in India, although prices remain unchanged. The LM is the most premium MPV money can buy in India, with ex-showroom prices ranging between Rs 2.15 crore and 2.69 crore. Deliveries of the updated LM have already commenced.

  1. Rear sliding doors can now be operated via the rear console
  2. 4-seater variants updated with a rear tray and an auto-dimming IRVM
  3. The engine is now compliant with E20 fuel

Lexus LM 350h: What’s new?

Lexus has not changed anything radically on the LM, but it has introduced some thoughtful additions to make the luxury MPV a better proposition. First among these is that the powered sliding doors can also be operated with a switch on the rear console. Earlier, they could only be opened and closed via a dedicated button on them. The more premium 4-seat variant now features an auto-dimming interior rearview mirror (IRVM) for enhanced safety, and Lexus has added a tray for the rear-seat passengers.

In terms of hardware, the only update is that the 2.5-litre hybrid engine, which has a combined output of 250hp, is now compliant with E20 fuel.

The rest of the Lexus LM 350h, including the exterior, interior and features, remains unchanged. The MPV continues with a 14-inch infotainment system, a 12.28-inch driver’s display, up to a 23-speaker Mark Levinson sound system, powered front seats with adjustable lumbar support and 4-zone auto AC. Its safety suite includes multiple airbags, a 360-degree camera and Level-2 ADAS.

The entry-level 7-seat VIP variant costs Rs 2.15 crore, and the top-spec 4-seat Ultra Luxury trim continues to be priced at Rs 2.69 crore.

While the Lexus LM does not have any direct rival, it can be considered a more premium alternative to the Toyota Vellfire in India.

All prices are ex-showroom, India.
