Hyundai has just launched its newest offering in the compact-sedan segment – the Aura, at a price of Rs 5.80 lakh. Although the Aura is technically the successor to the Xcent sedan, it will actually be sold alongside the aforementioned model, with the Xcent becoming a fleet-only model.

The Aura is offered with three BS6-compliant engines. These include an 83hp, 1.2-litre, four-cylinder petrol unit from the Grand i10 Nios, and a new 75hp, 1.2-litre, three-cylinder diesel unit – both of which get 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT gearbox options. Lastly, there is a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine; the same unit as in the Venue compact SUV, albeit tuned down to produce 100hp. This is offered only with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The 1.2-litre petrol is also offered with a factory-installed CNG kit on the S trim level.

Coming to the variants on offer, Hyundai has equipped the Aura with five trim-levels – E, S, SX, SX+ and SX(O). We have compiled a list of all the engine/gearbox options and features offered with each of these trim-levels, below.
