Citroen Basalt X: What to expect?
Citroen has dropped a couple of teaser images, hinting at the upgrades on the Basalt X. It is likely to get a new pattern imprint on the dashboard along with new bronze accents; the same is also likely on the AC vents. Additionally, one image also previews a new black and tan upholstery for the interior.
The C3 X has been positioned as the new range-topping trim in the line-up, and the same can also be expected for the Basalt. There could be new feature additions and colour options, too. For instance, the C3 gained keyless entry, push-button start/stop, an optional 360-degree camera and a new Garnet red exterior paint shade with its X trim.

Mechanically, however, the Basalt will remain unchanged. It will continue with its 1.2-litre, three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that produces 110hp; torque output is rated at 190Nm with the manual gearbox and 205Nm with the 6-speed torque converter automatic. Expect a premium of Rs 10,000-Rs 25,000 over the existing top-spec trim.
