India-spec Audi Q8 facelift details

Under the hood, the Q8 continues with the same 340hp, 500Nm 3.0-litre V6 turbo-petrol with a mild-hybrid system. It comes mated to an 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox with quattro four-wheel drive, and Audi claims a 0-100kph sprint time of 5.6 seconds and a top speed of 250kph.

The carmaker has revealed that the Q8 will get eight colour options in India – Sakhir Gold, Waitomo Blue, Mythos Black, Samurai Grey, Glacier White, Satellite Silver, Tamarind Brown and Vicuna Beige – along with four interior colour options – Okapi Brown, Saiga Beige, Black and Pando Gray. It will get 21-inch Gunmetal-finished 5-spoke alloys as standard.

Audi Q8 exterior and interior updates

The biggest change to the facelift would be the new headlights, which are now HD Matrix LED units with a laser-assist for the high beam. It even gets configurable light signatures. There are subtle upgrades to the grille with new octagonal apertures and ‘L’ shaped inserts, and the air intakes in the bumper have been reshaped too. The rear, too, remains largely the same as its predecessor, but with a new pattern for the tail lamps.

The inside of the new Q8 is virtually identical to the outgoing car, with cosmetic changes being limited to the seat upholstery that gets different stitching and inlay patterns. It retains Audi’s twin MMI touchscreens, four-zone climate control, and seats that are heated, ventilated with massaging function.

The existing Q8 is priced between Rs 1.07 crore and Rs 1.43 crore (ex-showroom) in India, so the facelifted model is expected to get a slight increase in price.
