6 airbags as standard on all Hyundais

Hyundai was already offering six airbags as standard on most of its line-up, except on the Grand i10 Nios, Aura and Venue. These models were offered with four airbags as standard with six available only on the higher-spec variants. Now, all models across all variants get six airbags.

Earlier this year, Hyundai had also made three-point seatbelts with seatbelt reminders standard for all seats for all models across variants. Notably, out of the 13 models that Hyundai has on sale in India, 10 come with ESC and hill-start assist control as standard, with only the Exter, Grand i10 Nios and Aura not having it on all variants.

Hyundai has also announced that it has voluntarily sent three models to Bharat NCAP for crash testing to begin with and more will follow soon, although it hasn’t yet specified what these models are. The results can be expected in the coming months.
