Japanese luxury car brand Lexus has revealed a mid-lifecycle update for its second-generation NX SUV. The 2026 Lexus NX gets design, powertrain and feature upgrades. The carmaker is yet to announce a launch date for the new NX in India.

The NX is available in 450h+ (plug-in hybrid) and 350h (strong hybrid) trims. Speaking of the NX 450h+, its 2.5-litre petrol-plug-in hybrid setup now develops a combined 307hp, 15hp up from 292hp before. It also gets a new lithium-ion battery with teh capacity increased by 30 percent from 18kWh to 23kWh. The NX 450h+ is available only in the all-wheel drive guise and it hits the 100kph mark from rest in 6.1 seconds (claimed). With this year's update, DC fast charging capability has been introduced with the 450h+, and the company claims a a 10-80 percent charging time of 30 minutes. Even the electric-only range has increased by about 40 percent to over 100km, as per Lexus.
Coming to the NX 350h, its 2.5-litre petrol-strong hybrid setup makes a combined output of 199hp. The carmaker has managed to reduce the hybrid battery's size from 32.7kg to 23.5kg, leading to an improvement in 0-100 kph acceleration. Lexus claims that the 350h FWD hits the 100kph mark from rest in 7.7 seconds, while the AWD version does the same in 7.3 seconds.
