    2018 Audi Q5 price, variants explained

    Audi has launched its new second-generation, mid-size SUV, the Q5, in India with two variants – the base 35 TDI Premium Plus and the top-spec 35 TDI Technology. Both variants are powered by the same 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, diesel engine that produces 190hp and 400Nm of peak torque. The motor is mated to a seven-speed, dual-clutch automatic that sends power to all four wheels via Audi’s Quattro all-wheel drive system. Five drive modes are offered, as standard on both trims – Comfort, Dynamic, Individual, Automatic and Off-road.

    Here’s all the equipment and safety kit that is available on the two trims:

    Premium Plus (Rs 53.25 lakh, ex-showroom, India)

    • LED headlamps and tail-lamps with dynamic indicators
    • Auto-folding and heated outside mirrors

    • Three-zone climate control
    • Leather upholstery
    • Automatic day/night inside rear view with anti-glare

    • Infotainment system with speech recognition, AM/FM, USB, Bluetooth and smartphone connectivity

    • 40:20:40 split-folding seats
    • Reclining rear seats
    • Interior ambient lighting package
    • Parking sensors with reversing camera
    • Eight airbags
    • Cruise control
    • Tyre pressure monitor

    Technology (Rs 57.60 lakh, ex-showroom, India)

    • Auto-folding and heated outside mirrors with memory function
    • Driver’s seat with memory function
    • 8.3-inch Audi MMI infotainment system with navigation
    • DVD player
    • Audi Virtual Cockpit digital instrument cluster
    • Smartphone mount with wireless charging
    • Walnut brown interior inlays
    • Adaptive suspension with damping control
