Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z launched in Spain

Amid Bajaj Auto’s ongoing work on a new range of sub-350cc motorcycles based on its existing 400cc platform for India, the Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z currently on sale here has now been launched in Spain in full production-spec form.

1. Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z undercuts 125cc bikes in Spain on pricing
2. The brand mirrors India’s aggressive value-driven positioning
3. Model sold in Spain continues to get MRF Zapper tyres

Powered by the same 373cc engine but down on power by 3hp compared to the Indian model.

The Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z launched in Spain continues to use the KTM-derived 373cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 40hp and 35Nm, paired with a six-speed gearbox. On paper, however, it appears to miss out on the recent 3hp bump seen on the India-spec model, which comes via a more aggressive Sport mode.

There are also differences in cycle parts. The Spain-spec NS400Z runs on MRF Zapper tyres with a 140-section rear, as opposed to the Apollo Alpha H1 tyres with a wider 150-section rear fitted to the updated India-spec version.

Much like in India, where the Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z made an impact with its aggressive pricing that elevated its value proposition, the model appears to follow a similar strategy in Spain. Priced at EUR 4,499 (Rs 4.83 lakh), it undercuts several 125cc motorcycles, including the EUR 5,299 (Rs 5.69 lakh) KTM 125 Duke, effectively offering a significantly higher level of performance at a comparable price point. For reference, the Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z is currently priced at Rs 1.94 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi)
