Volkswagen India's new flagship SUV, the Tayron, has been revealed before its launch by March. Positioned above the 5-seat Tiguan in VW's line-up, the Tayron is a 7 seater, and is not only longer overall, but also has a longer wheelbase. The Tayron shares its powertrain – a 204hp 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, paired to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic, which powers all-four wheels – with one of its main rivals, the Skoda Kodiaq. The Tayron's interior is a modern-looking one, with soft-touch materials on the dashboard, doors, and centre console, though the R Line trim brings some sporty elements.
