Tata Tiago EV variants explained

Tata has launched the Tiago EV hatchback with introductory prices between Rs 8.49 lakh-11.79 lakh (ex-showroom, India), which is quite aggressive. It is the most affordable EV in India, is the first EV hatchback and is also the first to have a starting price under Rs 10 lakh, which means that it has no direct rivals right now.

The Tiago EV is offered in four trims – XE, XT, XZ+, XZ+ Tech Lux – and comes with two battery packs as well as two charging options. Tata is offering a 19.2kWh battery, which has an MIDC-claimed range of 250km, and a 24kWh battery, which has an MIDC-claimed range of 315km.

Tata Tiago EV: bookings

Bookings for Tata’s EV hatchback will open on October 10 and deliveries will commence in January 2023. During the launch event, Tata mentioned that these prices are reserved for the first 10,000 customers, out of which 2,000 are reserved for existing Nexon EV and Tigor EV customers.
