When Maruti Suzuki showcased FRONX at the 2023 Auto Expo, it set the ball rolling for turbocharged compact SUVs. And now the Boosterjet Engine is back in the Maruti Suzuki lineup. FRONX will be sold via premium NEXA outlets and bookings have already opened at Rs 11,000. FRONX price range starts at Rs7.46 lakh and goes up to Rs12.97 lakh. FRONX is available in five trims and 10 colors, including Arctic White, Earthen Brown, Opulent Red, Splendid Silver, Celestial Blue, Grandeur Gray, the unique Bluish Black as well as dual-tone options that are available in Earthen Brown Bluish Black, Opulent Red Bluish Black and Splendid Silver Bluish Black colors. FRONX features a rather unique silhouette with an upright stance for that commanding road presence. The signature NEXWave GRILLE with chrome garnish seamlessly flows into the NEXTre’ LED DRLs, complementing the SUV’s futuristic design language. Interestingly, the Alloy Wheels sport a new dual-finish geometric precision-cut design that complements the SUV’s overall dynamic design. Thanks to the wide sweeping NEXTre' full LED connected Rear Combination Lamp (RCL) that runs across the width of the rear, it looks very, very sporty and appealing.

Enthusiasts can opt for the new 1.0-litre, K-Series Turbo Boosterjet Engine producing 100hp and 147.6Nm that can be teamed up with either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed automatic with Paddle Shifters. The turbo-petrol engine promises incredible acceleration combined with an excellent drive, thanks to the Progressive Smart Hybrid Technology. Get this: the tech involves a lithium-ion battery and an integrated starter generator that assists brake energy recovery.

FRONX also comes with a 1.2L K-series Dual Jet, Dual VVT naturally aspirated engine that puts out 89.7hp and 113Nm. It is paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AGS (Auto Gear Shift) transmission. Combined with Idle Start Stop technology, the 1.2L K-series engine is engineered to offer excellent drive performance without compromising on superior fuel efficiency.

FRONX gets a 22.86 cm (9-inch) SmartPlay Pro + with Surround Sense Powered by ARKAMYS which takes centre stage on the SUV’s dashboard. As far as seamless smartphone connectivity goes, FRONX is equipped with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. There’s also a wide range of connectivity features such as Head up Display with turn-by-turn navigation and Wireless Charger to offer an unmatched experience. The premium technology offering in FRONX is suitably complemented by the company’s in-built next-gen telematics system, Suzuki Connect. FRONX is based on Suzuki’s HEARTECT platform that uses high tensile and ultra-high tensile steel. It gets well designed crumple zones at the front and rear to absorb crash impact impact, delivering confidence with every drive.

It is equipped with six airbags (Side and Curtain, Dual Front) in select variants (Zeta and Alpha), with Dual Front Airbags standard across the range. Tech-driven safety features include ESP with Hill Hold Assist and roll-over mitigation, ABS with EBD and brake assist, 360 View Camera  and ISOFIX Child Seat Restraint System among others.
