The Tata Tiago facelift was recently revealed ahead of its May 28 launch. The unveil video showed the hatchback’s exterior, revealing a handful of design changes, including fresh lighting elements, redesigned bumpers, new alloy rims and a couple of additional features compared to the older model. Here’s everything that has changed in the Tata Tiago facelift compared to the previous model.

Tiago facelift gets sleek headlights and a redesigned front bumper
The facelifted Tiago gets sleeker LED headlights with eyebrow-shaped LED DRLs compared to the outgoing model. While the grille remains black, Tata has made it smoother with the facelift. The chrome strip beneath the grille that spans the headlights has also been removed in the new Tiago.
The front bumper has also been thoroughly redesigned and is devoid of the silver accents seen on the previous model. The Tiago facelift also gets pixel-shaped LED fog lamps compared to the larger halogen ones of the older model. Keen-eyed viewers can also spot a camera module on the front bumper and the outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs), confirming a new 360-degree camera setup.
The alloy wheel design is new, and the Tiago facelift gets black wheel arches
In profile, the only changes include redesigned 15-inch alloy wheels and black wheel arches, the latter of which was offered with the older Tiago’s crossover-styled NRG version. This could mean that Tata might skip the Tiago NRG altogether with the facelift. Everything else, including the body-coloured door handles with chrome strips and blacked-out B-pillar, is the same.
The facelifted Tiago gets new connected LED taillights
The taillights are all-new with three vertical LED strips on both sides and a connecting light bar in the centre. The Tiago lettering has moved from the centre to the lower portion of the tailgate, while the camera module has been shifted from the tailgate to the bumper. The reverse light has also moved to the lower portion of the rear bumper. The rear bumper itself has been slightly redesigned with the black portion extending to the lowermost sections, unlike before.

The reveal video shows differently coloured seat upholstery and a new driver’s display
While the reveal video does not fully show the Tiago facelift’s interior design, a lighter seat upholstery and a free-standing digital driver’s display can be spotted. Notably, Tata thoroughly revised the Tiago’s interior with the MY25 update, hence it is not likely to change much with the facelift. If that is the case, the facelifted Tiago could continue with a 2-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo, a 10.25-inch infotainment system, and the same set of AC controls.
A major change, however, is expected to be the addition of six airbags, as the older Tiago was offered only with two airbags for the front passengers. Notably, before the MY25 update, the Tiago was offered with four speakers and two tweeters, and the latter was discontinued with the update. With the facelift, Tata could add the two tweeters again for a better sound experience.

The Tiago is expected to continue with the same petrol and CNG options as before
It is expected that the older Tiago’s powertrains will be continued in the facelifted model. Currently, the Tiago is offered with an 86hp, 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, also available with a 75.5hp CNG option. Both engines are offered with a choice between a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 5-speed automated manual transmission (AMT).
With the facelift, the Tiago’s prices are expected to be slightly increased from the outgoing model’s Rs 4.60 lakh to Rs 7.68 lakh (ex-showroom) pricetag. However, the Tiago facelift will continue to lock horns with the Maruti Celerio, Maruti Wagon R and Hyundai Grand i10 Nios.
