Visually, the 2021 Mercedes-Benz S-Class takes an evolutionary approach to design rather than a revolutionary one. The proportions are unmistakably S-Class, with the long wheelbase, upright stance and restrained elegance reinforcing its flagship status.
Underneath, the new S-Class uses an evolved version of Mercedes’ modular rear-wheel-drive architecture with significant gains in rigidity and refinement.

Ride comfort remains the S-Class’s greatest strength. The adaptive air suspension delivers an exceptionally cushioned ride, effortlessly isolating passengers from rough roads and broken surfaces. Even over poor surfaces, the S-Class maintains remarkable composure and body control. Highway stability is outstanding, and the sedan feels incredibly planted at speed. The addition of rear-wheel steering significantly improves manoeuvrability, making the large sedan feel surprisingly manageable in city driving.
