Trending Questions on Maruti Suzuki XL6 - Answered by Autocar Experts
I want to buy a new car because my current one is almost 11 years old. I drive around 500โ600 km per month on average. Iโm looking for a 6โ7 seater vehicle on a budget, and Iโm torn between the Maruti XL6 and the Hyundai Alcazar. Can you suggest which one would be better, or recommend other options?
The two cars you have shortlisted fall in different segments; in fact, where the Maruti XL6 price ends, is where the Hyundai Alcazar price begins. The Alcazar is a superior vehicle in terms of comfort, quality, features and engines.
However, the XL6 MPV body style means that space efficiency on the interior is better. The XL6 has just a single engine option - a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol with a 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic gearbox.
Also, it is not as powerful as the Alcazar, but it will be more fuel-efficient. If you are budget-conscious and want to keep running costs low, the Maruti XL6 is the better choice for you. You could also consider the Kia Carens Clavis, which falls between these two on price.
I have been using Wagnor CNG for the last 11 years, and now I want to upgrade. My preference is XL6 automatic. My daily driving is around 10 km, and twice on the highway in the Konkan region, around 1000 km. Please advise. Is the XL6 a good choice, or is there a better option?
I have a Ertiga diesel 2019 model which has given me good service. Now I want to change the car. Should I go for Kia clavis diesel or should I wait for XL 7? I need a 7 seater.
Maruti Suzuki has not confirmed any plans to launch the XL7 in India. The current XL6 is a 6-seater, so it wonโt meet your requirement.
In either case, the Kia Carens Clavis diesel is the superior MPV. It has a nicer, more practical interior and comes with a long list of features. The 1.5-litre diesel engine also offers stronger performance, and you will feel the benefit of the extra power when the car is fully loaded with passengers.
I want to buy a new car (five- or seven-seater) as my second vehicle. I live in an urban city and commute about 50 km daily. My budget is under โน20 lakh. I want an automatic gearbox, 4-star (or above) safety, and good comfort. Iโve shortlisted the Mahindra Scorpio N, Suzuki XL6, Maruti Fronx, and Hyundai Verna. Which should I choose?
Looking at your criteria of safety and comfort, along with an automatic transmission, we would recommend the Maruti Suzuki Victoris. However, if you want a seven-seater, then the Scorpio N would suit you better of the two that you have shortlisted, as the XL6 does not meet your crash rating bar. However, bear in mind the ride of the Scorpio is a bit jittery and won't be as plush as the XL6 or Victoris.
I currently own a 2011 Swift Dzire and want to upgrade. Most of my driving is within the city, but I also take occasional outstation trips. I prefer an automatic car with good mileage. Iโm considering the Hyundai Venue, Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor, and Maruti Suzuki XL6. Iโm leaning towards the XL6 since itโs an MPV and will be more convenient when my parents visit. My budget is โน10-15 lakh.
I want to buy an automatic 7-seater with ventilated seats but no sunroof. My daily travel is about 50 km in bumper-to-bumper traffic.
I currently drive a manual Baleno and am considering upgrading to a reliable automatic SUV for easier ingress and egress. I prefer a 360ยฐ camera, but I would like to avoid a sunroof, as I feel it's a costly feature that I won't use. Please suggest a car with good city mileage and an on-road price below โน18 lakh.
Automatic options without a sunroof but equipped with a factory-fitted 360-degree camera include the Maruti XL6 and the Citroen Aircross X. The XL6, being an MPV, offers smooth, comfortable, and the assurance of Marutiโs reliability. What's nice is that ingress and egress is a breeze. with an all-new more (than before) upmarket interior and excellent driving dynamics. It delivers stronger performance, though its fuel efficiency may not match that of the XL6.
I'm interested in purchasing an automatic 6-seater car with good mileage, priced between โน12 to โน13 lakh. Could you please suggest suitable options?
We currently have a Hyundai i20 Asta and are looking for a six- or seven-seater automatic within a โน16 lakh budget. We need generous legroom (all occupants are about 6 ft tall), good ground clearance, strong safety, and modern technology features. Could you recommend suitable models? Thanks in advance.
