Can you help me compare Range Rover Velar, BMW X5 and Volvo SUV?

I have a family of 4 adults and a 5 month old kid. I am looking for a 4-seater SUV with great driving experience with a car seat for my kid. Also, I need space for a full size stroller and at least for 2 suitcases. As I will drive and explore through this car, reliability is important and easy access to get things fixed if at all is important. My budget is between 2 and 3 crore. Many have suggested LC 300. Do you have any other suggestions?

An SUV seems like the more practical choice, but there aren't many exciting options from BMW or Mercedes-Benz in this budget. Sedans like the BMW 3 Series are available, but I am concerned about their low ground clearance, especially since the roads in my area are not in great condition and waterlogging is a common issue. Toyota appeals because of its reliability, but I don't find the interiors very appealing. As for Skoda and Volkswagen, I am not very confident about their after-sales service. Would the BMW 3 Series still be comfortable and practical to own on bad roads and during waterlogged conditions? Above all, I want complete peace of mind after the purchase.

I’m currently considering the Mahindra XUV 7XO top-end petrol automatic and the Skoda Kodiaq L&K. I understand there’s a significant price difference between the two, but my budget allows for either. I enjoy driving and won’t be hiring a chauffeur, so the driving experience is important to me. While both SUVs offer similar power on paper, does the Kodiaq provide a noticeably better sense of quality, cabin feel, driving pleasure, and after-sales service that justifies its higher price? I’m also open to suggestions from other brands that fit my requirements, such as entry-level Audi or BMW models, except Tata vehicles. Your expert advice would be a great help. Thank you.

You had recommended the A4 as first preference with the Kodiaq also to be considered. If I am open to buying used cars then that opens up many more options as well. My dad and I are huge BMW fans and I think the previous gen X3 is the perfect luxury car. Great interiors and exterior, amazing performance and handling, has all the features we need, is spacious enough for a family of 4 and has more than enough boot space for long trips. The only downside might be a stiffer ride than the A4. I'm looking at used X3s that are less than 4 years old, has run less than 40k KM's, and is still under extended warranty. If possible I'd prefer to buy from a BMW authorised used car dealership. My main concern is the maintainance and repair costs a Used X3 might come with vs an A4 given than it's a segment higher with more expensive spare parts and has already run 30-40kms. In your experience is it worth risking the peace of mind that comes with a new car purchase to go for your perfect dream car instead. A new A4 and a used X3 might cost the same in terms of purchase, but I'm worried if the used X3 might cost much more over the long term.
