Chinese EV brand BYD made its debut with the 5-seat MPV, the E6, but really its first big salvo is this, the Atto 3 SUV. This electric SUV will be a direct rival to the MG ZS EV and Hyundai Kona Electric and will sit just above the Tata Nexon EV Max. It is slightly larger than a Hyundai Creta and is a 5-seater electric car. The BYD Atto 3 will be locally assembled in India, at the brand’s facility near Chennai. The BYD Atto 3 gets features like a 12.8-inch touchscreen that rotates between portrait and landscape orientation, powered driver and front passenger seats, 360-degree cameras, digital dials, a panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charging and more. Its single, front mounted electric motor that produces 201hp and 310Nm. The 60.48kWh battery pack offers an ARAI-claimed driving range of 521km and can be charged at up to 80kW on a DC fast charger in just 50 minutes.
