The ID Cross will offer a choice of two battery packs, namely a 37kWh battery pack in two states of tune, and a larger 52kWh battery pack. The former adopts an LFP chemistry, while the latter features NMC chemistry, and both are paired to a front-mounted motor. In 37kWh guise, it delivers 116hp and 135hp in the base and top trims, respectively, while it produces 211hp when mated with the 52kWh battery pack. It can also deliver a maximum torque output of 290Nm. WLTP range is forecasted at up to 316km and 436km for the 37kWh and 52kWh battery packs, respectively.

VW also claims a top speed of 150kph for the 37kWh variant, while the 52kWh variant tops out at 160kph. When it comes to charging, the 37kWh and 52kWh versions support DC charging speeds of up to 90kW and 105kW, respectively. A 10-80 percent charge with the 37kWh takes 27 minutes, while it takes 24 minutes with the 52kWh unit. AC charging speed support maxes out at 11kW.
