The Golf R 333 Limited Edition is finished with Lime Yellow metallic paint, a black roof and 333 decals on the doors. It also gets a set of 19-inch alloys finished in Black. On the inside, it gets leather sports seats and a Harmon Kardon sound system. Each example of the Golf R 333 will be numbered and feature a small plaque with its designation on the dashboard.

VW Golf R 333 Limited Edition powertrain, mechanical upgrades

The hot hatch uses the same 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine as the standard Golf R. Power is increased from the standard car's 323hp to a slightly better 333hp, the improved performance helps achieve a 0-100kph time of 4.6 seconds (claimed) and has a claimed top speed of 270kph. As standard, the Golf R 333 Limited Edition gets a performance exhaust system supplied by Akrapovič, featuring titanium rear silencers. The alloy wheels are wrapped with semi-slick tyres.

R 333 Limited Edition pays tribute to 2017 Mk7.5 Golf R

The Golf R 333 pays homage to the Golf R that debuted in 2017 – with a performance package for the 7th-gen Golf R, also called the Mk7.5. The improved package also added drilled disc brakes and an adjustable shock absorber. Alongside the Golf R 20 Years, the R 333 Limited Edition is the most potent version of the Golf yet. The sad news is, however, the Golf R 333 is unlikely to be available outside of Germany, with production set to begin in September this year and deliveries to start in October.
