With the performance car segment seeing a revival despite tightening emission norms, the upcoming year is likely to see the launch of a slew of sports cars, including coupes, convertibles and even sporty SUVs. From a 4-cylinder hybrid to a fire-breathing V12-powered Lambo, here’s a list of performance cars that could launch in India in 2026.

1. Aston Martin DB12 S

Launch: H2 2026; estimated price: Rs 5 crore; engine: 4.0-litre turbo V8

Upcoming performance cars in India in 2026

Aston Martin is expected to bring the ‘S’ treatment to the DB12 grand tourer. Compared to the standard DB12, the S variant’s 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine gets a power bump to 700hp, leading to a slightly quicker 0-100kph time of 3.5 seconds but with the same 325kph top speed. Moreover, the S gets an improved feel and response through tweaks to its steering and suspension. Optimised damper software, an electronic differential and a thicker anti-roll bar enhance overall handling and agility. The DB12 S is also 27 kg lighter, thanks to standard carbon ceramic brakes.

2. Aston Martin Vantage S

Launch: H2 2026; estimated price: Rs 4.5 crore; engine: 4.0-litre turbo V8

Upcoming performance cars in India in 2026

Like the DB12, the Vantage  sports car could also come in ‘S’ guise. The Vantage S’s 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine produces 680hp and 800Nm of torque. The S also gets a new aero kit, providing an additional 111 kg of downforce and achieving a 0-100kph time of 3.4 seconds – 0.1 seconds quicker than the standard model. Low-speed ride quality improves through a revised suspension, along with a solid-mounted rear subframe for better torsional stiffness. The top speed remains the same at 325kph.

3. Aston Martin DBX S

Launch: H2 2026; estimated price: Rs 5 crore; engine: 4.0-litre turbo V8

Upcoming performance cars in India in 2026

The DBX S is Aston Martin’s most powerful SUV, with a 727hp, 900Nm 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8, complemented by turbos that use components from the Valhalla supercar. Aston’s performance SUV can accelerate from a standstill to 100kph in 3.3 seconds and reach a top speed of 310kph. With optional magnesium alloy wheels and a carbon-fibre roof, the DBX S is the lightest DBX in its range. It is expected to launch in the second half of the upcoming year.

4. Audi e-tron GT facelift

Launch: Q3 2026; estimated price: Rs 2 crore-2.5 crore; battery: 105kWh

Upcoming performance cars in India in 2026

Audi’s performance electric saloon, the e-tron GT, could receive a facelift in 2026. The e-tron GT is expected to be offered in S, RS and RS Performance variants. Powered by a 105kWh battery, the S, RS and RS Performance versions produce 680hp, 857hp and 925hp, respectively. Power is sent to all four wheels via Audi’s Quattro system, with the RS Performance completing the 0-100kph sprint in a claimed 2.5 seconds. The battery can be charged from 0 to 80 percent in 18 minutes using a 320kW DC fast charger. The e-tron GT also gets an optional active suspension system that keeps the car planted during hard cornering and increases ride height for easier ingress and egress.

5. Ferrari 849 Testarossa

Launch: Q2 2026; estimated price: Rs 9 crore; engine: 4.0-litre turbo V8 PHEV

Upcoming performance cars in India in 2026

Ferrari could introduce the 849 Testarossa, replacing the SF90 Stradale in India. The 849 Testarossa retains the SF90’s 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 paired with three electric motors and an 8-speed DCT gearbox. The supercar produces 1,050hp, which is 50hp more than the SF90, making it the most powerful series-production Ferrari yet. The 849 Testarossa is claimed to sprint from 0 to 100kph in under 2.3 seconds and achieve a top speed exceeding 330kph. The all-new design draws inspiration from the F80, with a convertible version likely to follow later in the year.

6. Ferrari Amalfi

Launch: Q3 2026; estimated price: Rs 5 crore; engine: 3.9-litre turbo V8

Upcoming performance cars in India in 2026

The Amalfi will likely launch here as a replacement for the Ferrari Roma. It carries over the Roma’s powertrain setup, consisting of a 3.9-litre twin-turbo V8 paired with an 8-speed DCT automatic. Power sees a 20hp increase to 640hp, while torque remains unchanged at 760Nm. The Ferrari Amalfi can complete slightly quicker 0-100kph and 0-200kph sprints in 3.3 seconds and 9 seconds, respectively, and reach a top speed of 320kph. The Amalfi shares its platform and glasshouse with its predecessor but features new body panels, updated cabin screens and physical steering controls.

7. Honda Prelude

Launch: H1 2026; estimated price: Rs 80 lakh; engine: 2.0-litre petrol hybrid

Upcoming performance cars in India in 2026

The revived Honda Prelude will arrive in India via the CBU route. It is powered by a 2.0-litre petrol hybrid engine that produces 200hp and 315Nm of torque, mated to an e-CVT gearbox. The Prelude uses Honda’s S+ Shift system, which simulates gearshifts for a more engaging driving experience. The model also borrows chassis components from the Civic Type R, though Honda aims to position it more as a GT car than a sports car.

8. Lamborghini Urus SE Sport/Performante

Launch: Q4 2026; estimated price: Rs 5 crore; engine: 4.0-litre V8 hybrid

Lamborghini could introduce a new iteration of the Urus SUV, possibly dubbed the Urus SE Sport or the Urus Performante. With likely more horsepower from the V8 hybrid engine, a firmer and lower sports suspension setup replacing air springs, aggressive aerodynamic elements and sportier interior options, it is expected to be a more hardcore-focused version of the Urus SE.

9. Lamborghini Revuelto Roadster

Launch: H2 2026; estimated price: Rs 10 crore; engine: 6.5-litre V12 PHEV

Upcoming performance cars in India in 2026 Lamborghini Revuelto coupe used for reference

Lamborghini’s second model for India has not been confirmed, but it is likely to be the Revuelto Roadster. Essentially a convertible version of the Revuelto supercar, the Roadster would likely use the standard car’s V12 hybrid engine, producing 1,015hp and mated to an 8-speed DCT automatic gearbox. Expect chassis modifications to suit the demands of open-top driving.

10. Porsche 911 GT3

Launch: Q2 2026; estimated price: Rs 3 crore; engine: 4.0-litre flat 6

Upcoming performance cars in India in 2026

The 992.2-gen Porsche 911 GT3 could likely make its way on our roads. Porsche’s track-focused 911 features a 510hp, 9,000rpm revving 4.0-litre 6-cylinder engine. Power is sent to the rear wheels through either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed PDK gearbox. The GT3 is also available with a Clubsport pack, which includes a roll cage and lighter sports seats. Meanwhile, in a first for a GT3, the Touring version, which omits the rear wing, can be specified with rear seats.
