Up to Rs 1.75 lakh off on Jeep’s Compass this month

In light of the current economic slowdown, coupled with the upcoming festive period, several Jeep dealerships across the country are offering big discounts and benefits on the Compass SUV in order to drive up sales. Read on to see how much you can save on the purchase of a Jeep Compass during the month of October.

For the Compass diesel, the base Sport 4x2 trim is being offered with a Rs 1.75 lakh cash discount, while the Sport Plus can be had with a Rs 1.25 lakh discount. The mid-spec Longitude, Longitude Option and Limited can be availed with benefits up to Rs 1.55 lakh. Further, the Limited Option trim also gets benefits of Rs 1.75 lakh, which includes a cash discount and an exchange bonus.

As for the petrols, the base Sport and Sport Plus MT trims are being offered with cash discounts of Rs 86,000 and Rs 75,000, respectively. Meanwhile, the Longitude Option and Limited trims, which come with the dual-clutch automatic gearbox, currently have a discount of Rs 1.25 lakh. Additionally, the Limited Option petrol-AT is on offer with a Rs 1.53 lakh cash discount.

It is worth noting that neither of the top two variants – the Limited Plus or the Trailhawk – are being offered with these benefits.

The Compass is available with two engine options currently – a 2.0-litre turbo-diesel and a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol. The diesel engine is good for 173hp and 350Nm of torque and is currently available in both BS4 and BS6-spec. The BS4 version comes with a 6-speed manual only while the BS6-compliant version comes with a 9-speed automatic and is only available on the Trailhawk. The diesels are also offered with optional four-wheel drive on higher variants. The BS4-compliant petrol engine puts out 163hp and 250Nm of torque – gearbox options include a 6-speed manual and 7-speed dual-clutch automatic.

Jeep India is currently working on introducing the Trailhawk’s 9-speed automatic and its BS6-compliant engine to the rest of the Compass range. As for its rivals, the Compass takes on the MG Hector, Tata Harrier and Kia Seltos.
