Top spec XUV700 AX7 L waiting period down to 2 months

Mahindra XUV700 waiting period

The XUV700 has been a popular model in Mahindra’s India line-up. The versatile SUV is available with a choice of diesel and petrol powertrains, and 5-, 6- or 7-seater configurations. However, due to its popularity, there has often been a rather lengthy waiting period for the XUV700. The AX7 L's waiting period was 9 months in June 2023, which reduced to 6 months by October. Our dealer sources have now revealed that the waiting period is down to a month for certain variants. Read on for the complete variant-wise waiting period break up.

Only the entry MX and AX3 variants are available with a 1-month waiting period. The AX5 and AX7 have a waiting period of one and a half months, while the top-spec AX7 L has a waiting period of 2 months. However, ESP-equipped variants have no specified waiting period.

Mahindra XUV700 production and updates

We recently learnt that Mahindra is working on an automatic version of the entry-level MX variant, which will rival smaller SUVs like the Creta and Seltos. Tap here to read more on that. The company has also revealed that due to a ramp-up in production, as of February 1, 2024, the overall delivery backlog has dropped to 2.26 lakh units from 2.86 lakh units in November 2023.

Mahindra XUV700 price and rivals

Prices for the Mahindra XUV700 range between Rs 13.99 lakh-26.99 lakh (ex-showroom India). Its rivals include the Tata Harrier, Safari, Hyundai Alcazar, MG Hector and Hector Plus.
