The Skoda Octavia facelift will make its global debut in February 2024, the brand announced in a new teaser. The facelift will arrive about five years after the fourth-generation Octavia was revealed for international markets, and it is expected to have design changes outside and a few updates on the inside.

    1. Fourth-gen Octavia facelift to get new face and rear
    2. New 10-inch infotainment screen expected
    3. Engine options expected to continue unchanged

Although the teaser only gives us a glimpse of the nose – the rest of the car is completely covered – one aspect that can clearly be seen is the new design for the headlights. The cluster seems to sport diagonal LED DRLs that stretch up to what looks like a slightly redesigned grille. Spy shots circulating online showed that the Octavia facelift will also get new front and rear bumpers, new designs for the alloy wheels, and a new tail-light cluster.

Again, the teaser does not reveal any details about the refreshed Octavia’s cabin, but a new 10-inch touchscreen infotainment is expected, along with Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay compatibility and a 10-inch driver’s display.

    Skoda Octavia facelift engines

For international markets, Skoda offers a variety of powertrains, from the 110hp, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol and its mild-hybrid version to the 150hp, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol with its own mild-hybrid variant. The Czech brand is likely to retain the 2.0-litre diesel engine – outputs range from 115hp to 200hp – as well as the 245hp, 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and the 245hp, 1.4-litre plug-in hybrid powertrain. AWD tech is also expected on higher variants.

    Skoda Octavia facelift India launch

There is no word on Skoda bringing this refreshed Octavia to India, though there was speculation that the brand may introduce the Octavia RS iV with plug-in hybrid tech in limited numbers. The sedan was on sale in India for over 20 years, officially selling over 1 lakh units during that time.

Skoda India is planning to reintroduce the Superb, and bring Enyaq iV and new Kodiaq to the market this year, details for which can be found here.
