Porsche's display at the Auto Expo 2025 will have an expansive line-up comprising both ICE and electric vehicles. While some are from its existing India line-up, others will be showcased here for the first time. Notably, Porsche will be the only sportscar manufacturer at the Auto Expo, so let’s take a closer look at what to expect from the German carmaker.
Porsche Macan EV
Porsche had revealed the prices of the Macan EV – Rs 1.22 crore-1.69 crore (ex-showroom) – last year, but the SUV will make its India debut at the Auto Expo. The Macan EV moves away from the familiar look established by the original Macan and takes design inspiration from the Taycan. The interior matches that of the current Cayenne in terms of style and layout, with a three-screen setup spanning the dashboard. In India, the Macan EV is available in three variants: the base Macan RWD with a 360hp rear electric motor, the mid-spec Macan 4 with a dual-motor setup producing 408hp, and finally, the top-spec Turbo variant with 639hp and up to 1,130Nm of torque. All three variants get a 100kWh battery with a claimed range of up to 641km (WLTP).
Porsche Taycan facelift
Porsche will also showcase the Taycan facelift, but it will be tough to make out the changes as they are predominantly under the skin. All versions of the Taycan are now more powerful, with lighter electric motors and revised internals. They also get a new battery with a revised cell chemistry. Power figures range between 517hp for the 4S variant and 707hp on the Turbo variant. The range is now up to a maximum of 678km on the WLTP cycle.
Porsche 911 GTS
On the ICE front, Porsche will display the new 911 (992.2 generation) with the new T-hybrid powertrain. The setup features a new turbocharged 3.6-litre six-cylinder boxer engine, a gearbox-mounted electric motor and a compact 1.9kWh liquid-cooled lithium-ion battery. Together, they provide the restyled rear-wheel-drive 911 Carrera GTS with 541hp and up to 610Nm. The updated 911 also features active aero flaps on the front bumper, a revised spoiler and a reworked diffuser. The interior received a minor overhaul, but the analogue tachometer has sadly been swapped out for a digital driver's display.
Porsche Panamera GTS and 911 GT3 RS
The range-topping Panamera GTS with a 500hp 4.0-litre, twin-turbo V8 and the track-focused 911 GT3 RS, both of which are already on sale here, will also be displayed. The Panamera GTS gets a darkened theme with black GTS logos, dark-tinted HD matrix LED headlamps and tail-lamps. It also gets a satin matte-black finish on the side skirts, window lining and rear bumper. The 911 GT3 RS, meanwhile, is particularly special to Autocar India as we have set lap records in it at the BIC as well as the CoASTT racetrack.
